Yangon: Coolest City in the World? - Episode 2

Yangon city, Burma/Myanmar - August 9-20, 2015 - Yangon is still something of a secret in its own way. Responsible tourism only! In fact, words can not describe this fascinating place.

Barbed-wire blockades are always at the ready in case of unrest.

Shan noodle soup at a great place to eat that is becoming to well known! If you go to Yangon, find it yourself!

All this moss... I like it.

A building burning downtown. No casualties. I was unable to find out which building it was, but found another picture of it here: http://news.yahoo.com/photos/lbb80145-yangon-myanmar-16-08-2015-fire-fighters-photo-132058021.html

A man watches the fire from his rooftop.

Cold sagging with a fat stack.

Yangon: Coolest City in the World? - Episode 1

Yangon city, Myanmar/Burma - August 9-20, 2015 - This is one of the most highly recommended cities I have ever been too.

A hounds sits afront the Immigration at the Mae Sot-Myawaddy border.

Myawaddy.

Some kind of ceremony with lots of percussion was occurring as we crossed the border.

Nuns.

The old circular train.

The main station.

Do not kiss on the train.

Kachin style fish. Less the $3 US. Food in Yangon is nothing short of phenomenal.

Wass dem hounds be doin dere?

"We chillin', yo. What about it?"

What are you looking at, master hound, sir?

... : Episode 01

Chiang Mai city, Thailand - June 10, 2015 - Once on holiday in Chiang Mai after an exam I took random photos of three completely different things  noticed.

Songthaews.

A woman who was feeding some birds in a fallen nest.

A pink curtain in a bus.

The Vietnam Capital: A Revisit

Hanoi city, Vietnam - April 24-28, 2015 - A good time spent with good friends in the first city I had visited in Southeast Asia, all those years ago, all those incredible years ago. The first two photos are from a stopover in Bangkok.

Not a bad ride either. Very smooth.

Class.

This was the first thing I saw when I walked out onto the street of Southeast Asia, over six years ago, the Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

Fighting cocks, on the street.

The fellows playing chess nearby gestured for us to take off the lid and they seemed very tame.

Vietnamese breakfast. Pork and vegetables wrapped in a very think rice paper that was soft, fresh, and expertly spun. The food is one reason anyone would visit Hanoi.

Long Biên bridge is a popular place for the Vietnamese to take photographs of each other. It is rather old and kinda scary to walk along.

It's a nice drive, though.

The Red River is epic.

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, if you hadn't guessed.

A fire burns in an open-air BBQ restaurant.

Preparing for the Liberation Day celebrations. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2015/04/30/vietnam-war-anniversary/26622353/

These were taken from the Vietnam Women's Museum, cool place.

This (as described in following picture, was pretty cool too.
